Mandatory COVID isolation ends Friday 14 October 2022

It will no longer be a requirement to stay at home or report a positive test

13 October, 2022

NSW Health COVID-19 self-isolation guidelines are changing from Friday 14 October 2022, when it will no longer be mandatory to self-isolate at home if you test positive to COVID-19.

However, NSW Health strongly recommends people who are sick or have tested positive to COVID-19 stay home until their symptoms have gone.

Some restrictions will still apply for high-risk settings such as healthcare and aged care facilities.

It is strongly recommended that people who test positive using a COVID-19 rapid antigen test continue to register their result with Service NSW.
