New Small Business Panel

The group will help ensure small business views are accounted for

28 March, 2024

The NSW Small Business Commissioner will meet regularly with a new group of small businesses and industry representatives from across the State to listen to their views and experiences and help shape future small business policy.

Nine businesses and representatives have agreed to join the Commissioner’s new Small Business Reference Group (SBRG).

The group builds on the success of the Small Business Reference Group which operated during the COVID-19 pandemic and advised the Commission and the NSW Government on appropriate support measures.

NSW Small Business Commissioner Chris Lamont said the input provided by the members of the SBRG would ensure the views and experiences of small businesses were presented to the NSW Government and would support the advocacy work of the Commission.

“The members of the group have been chosen to represent a diverse range of businesses and business experiences, including strong representation from regional areas,” Mr Lamont said.

The group will meet approximately every two months, with the first meeting to take place in April.
